Abstract: Calculations are made of the excitation regimes of pulsed electron-beam-controlled lasers giving the highest electron beam utilization efficiency allowing for the angular divergence of the radiation, i.e., ensuring the highest ratio of the lasing energy having diffraction-limited divergence to the energy dissipated in ionizing the active mixture.
