Phase aperture as means for selecting the lowest transverse mode
V. A. Zenkin, V. R. Kushnir, L. V. Tarasov
Abstract:
A theoretical and experimental investigation was made of the selective properties of resonators with phase apertures. It was found that these apertures can select effectively the lowest-order as well as the first odd mode. The conditions under which the selective properties of a resonator with a phase aperture are superior to the selective properties of a confocal resonator with an amplitude aperture were identified.
