Influence of temperature on the polarization and frequency characteristics of stimulated emission from a ring laser with a 90° Faraday rotator

L. N. Orlov, V. S. Rubanov
Abstract: An analysis is made of the factors determining the thermal sensitivity of a ring laser. For a laser having a 90° Faraday rotator and a linear phase plate in an isotropic three-mirror resonator, calculations are made of the influence of temperature on the azimuths and ellipticity of the laser oscillations and on the frequency difference between orthogonally polarized waves.
