Calculation of the energy characteristics of a pulseperiodic electron-beam-controlled CO2 laser with a cooled active mixture

Abstract:
The optimal excitation conditions and energy characteristics are calculated for a pulse-periodic electron-beam-controlled CO2 laser with a cooled active mixture. A comparison is made with the characteristics of electron-beam-controlled lasers operating at room temperature. It is shown that cryogenic cooling of the active mixture enables the average output power of pulse-periodic industrial electron-beam-controlled CO2 lasers to be increased by a factor of 2–3.
