Abstract: An investigation was made of multiphoton dissociation of chloroethylene dichloroborane (HClC = CHBCl2) in a pulsed CO2 laser radiation field. The main products of infrared dissociation of the active medium were identified. It was shown for the first time that in a pulsed CO2 laser field the chloroethylene dichloroborane molecule dissociates to give elemental boron with up to 80% of 10B.
