Stimulated bremsstrahlung effect in multimode laser radiation field

Full-text PDF (486 kB) Citations (8)
Abstract: Expressions are obtained for the cross sections of the stimulated bremsstrahlung effect as a result of scattering of electrons in the radiation field of a laser emitting an arbitrary number of modes. It is shown that the experimental results on the scattering of electrons by neutral atoms and molecules can be explained qualitatively if simultaneous allowance is made for multimode and pulsed nature of the radiation.
