Abstract: Investigations were made of the temporal and spatial coherence of the radiation emitted by a pulsed VL-10 dye laser pumped by an electric discharge excimer laser. The dye laser radiation was characterized by a high spatial coherence and it could be used in the main hologram recording methods. Examples of holograms recorded using the dye laser are given.
