Laser radiation contrast required in thermonuclear fusion experiments
A. V. Shelobolin
Abstract:
An analysis of the permissible background energy is made allowing for the matching of the main heating pulse to the target. Expressions are obtained for the necessary level of energy contrast. It is shown that in the shell compression (implosion) regime the necessary contrast may be as high as ~106.
