Abstract:
An experimental study was made of the threshold, energy, spectral, and time characteristics of preionization CO and CO2 lasers operated in the active zone of a stationary nuclear reactor where the neutron flux density was up to 1014 cm–2sec–1. Continuous emission from a preionization CO laser was obtained for the first time. The laser radiation power reached ~32 W.
