Multifrequency waveguide CO–CO2 laser pumped by an ac capacitative discharge

A. F. Glova, M. M. Smakotin
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of a multifrequency waveguide CO–CO2 laser pumped by an ac capacitative discharge and lasing simultaneously due to vibrational–rotational transitions in the CO and CO2 molecules which shared an active medium. Variation of the discharge and resonator characteristics made it possible to vary the energy and spectral characteristics of the laser radiation over quite wide ranges.
