Pulsed stimulated emission due to vibrational transitions in the CO molecule in mixtures with xenon

A. V. Anokhin, S. V. Markova, G. G. Petrash
Abstract: An investigation was made of the pulsed stimulated emission due to vibtational transitions in the ground state of the CO molecule in mixtures with xenon. A considerable change in the stimulated emission was observed when xenon was introduced into mixtures of carbon monoxide and helium. The influence of xenon on the processes governing the filling of the vibrational levels of the CO molecule was analyzed.
