Joint time and length standard

Abstract: A report is given of some of the results obtained at the Institute of Heat Physics, Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, on the establishment of a joint time and length standard. Attention is concentrated on the development of lasers with a stable emission frequency and of systems for frequency synthesis and measurement.
