Emission of visible radiation by a chemical oxygen–iodine laser

Abstract:
The luminescence spectra (600–700 nm) were determined for active media of a chemical oxygen–iodine laser with different iodine concentrations. The red radiation observed at low iodine concentrations was attributed to the ICl molecule.
