Quantum yields of I (52P1/2) atoms by photodissociation of iodides using λ = 325 nm radiation

V. I. Babkin, M. B. Ippolitov, A. I. Maslov
Abstract: The relative quantum yields of I (52P1/2) atoms as a result of the photodissociation of F3I, C2F5I, n-C3F7I, i-C3F7I7, and (CF3)3CI, by He–Cd (λ = 325 nm) radiation were determined by observation of the luminescence from these I (52P1/2) atoms (λ = 1315 nm). Measurements were made of the constants describing quenching of I (52P1/2) iodine atoms by molecules of these iodides and also by nitrogen molecules.
