Stabilization of the output power of a carbon dioxide laser

Abstract: A description is given of a compensation method for the stabilization of the output power of a CO2 laser. The control element is an ML-7 electrooptic infrared radiation modulator made of a GaAs crystal. The system supresses effectively the output power fluctuations in a wide range of outputs from 100 mW to several watts.
