Possible method for the stabilization of the stimulated emission of a Raman laser at the first Stokes frequency

I. M. Bel'dyugin, Ya. Z. Virnik, E. I. Egoshin, E. M. Zemskov, I. A. Fedulov
Abstract: A Raman laser pumped simultaneously with longitudinal and transverse beams is analyzed theoretically. An approximation based on equations for the photon flux densities is used to show that the emission of the first Stokes component can be stabilized. Characteristic features of the spatial distribution of the photon flux densities in the pumping and output beams are considered.
