Abstract:
A description is given of the method for concentrating radiant energy of solid-state lasers in which a single plane wave is produced at the output of a multichannel laser system by cophasal addition of plane fronts of, all channels. An account is given of a three-channel neodymium-glass laser system in whichthe fronts of all. three channels are added cophasally. A photoelectric servo system is used for automatic retention of the desired phase difference between the channels. It should be possible to produce a multichannel laser system with cophasal addition of the wave fronts of all the channels. The energy density obtained in the far zone is equivalent to the energy density produced by a laser with a large-diameter active rod and with an angular divergence of radiation close to the diffraction limit.
