Comparative investigation of infrared multiphoton dissociation of CHF2Cl, C2H4FCl, C3H6FCl, and C4H8FCl molecules

A. V. Baklanov, V. V. Vizhin, A. K. Petrov
Abstract: The experimental dependences of the degree of dissociation of CHF2Cl, C2H4FCl, C3H6FCl, and C4H8FCl molecules on the energy (power) density and laser pulse duration were determined and compared. It was found that C3H6FCl and C4H8FCl reached a quasicontinuum on absorption of just one photon emitted by a CO2 laser. The beginning of a continuum was estimated for CHF2Cl and C2H4FCl.
