Nonequilibrium flow in a gas-dynamic laser

Abstract: A new approach is made to the description of nonequilibrium flow of a gaseous mixture through a supersonic nozzle. An analytic expression is obtained on the assumption of equality of the vibrational temperatures of nitrogen and of the ν3 mode of the CO2 molecule. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental data.
