Hydrogen fluoride (deuterium fluoride) pulsed laser
A. A. Podminogin
Abstract:
A description is given of a pulsed laser emitting in the infrared range at repetition frequencies up to 5 Hz and using a flowing mixture SF6+H2 (D2). An investigation was made of the spectral composition of the stimulated radiation and its distribution in time starting from the beginning of a discharge current pulse. Under optimal conditions the pulse output power was ~200 kW and the energy per pulse was ~6·10–2 J for the SF6+H2 mixture, and ~100 kW, ~3·10–2 J for the SF6+D2 mixture.
