Abstract: A superradiant (superfluorescent) dye solution laser with two-photon picosecond pumping was constructed for the first time. A preliminary study was made of the principal characteristics of the output radiation of this laser which performed up-conversion of the frequency of the pump radiation. The physical mechanisms governing the operation of lasers of this type were analyzed.
