Full-text PDF (679 kB) Citations (2)
Abstract: It is shown that an optoacoustic instability may develop in a laser with an unstable resonator. An expression is obtained for the growth increment of such an instability. It is found that acoustic vibrations of wavelength of the order of the equivalent Fresnel zone of the resonator grow most rapidly.
