Amplification of radiation in a thermally heated argon plasma under gasdynamic expansion conditions

Abstract: An experimental study was made of the possibility of amplification in a recombining argon plasma at the wavelength of 2.9 μ. A new measurement method was developed. Amplification of radiation was achieved and the conditions under which this happened were determined.
