Interaction of laser radiation with matter. Laser plasma

Optical harmonic generation in a laser plasma

Abstract: An investigation was made of the generation of the harmonics of laser radiation (λ= 1.06 μm, τ = 3 ps) in a low-temperature atmospheric plasma and in a surface plasma layer in vacuum. An analysis was made of the results of generation of the odd harmonics (up to the eleventh with λ = 96 nm) and also of the feasibility of increasing the efficiency of nonlinear optical processes in a plasma.
