Compensation of thermooptic perturbations in a conductivity cooled waveguide active element

V. N. Bykov, A. A. Mitin
Abstract: Theoretical and experimental studies were made of the compensation of thermooptic perturbations in a waveguide active element under conductive cooling conditions. The influence of thermooptic perturbations on the emitted radiation was found to decrease on increase in the number of reflections from the faces of the element and the reduction was an order of magnitude for just three reflections.
