Continuous-wave chemical HF laser initiated by a standing shock discontinuity

Abstract: A study was made of the spectral, energy, and gasdynamic characteristics of a cw chain HF chemical laser initiated by a standing shock discontinuity. It was found that under optimal conditions the specific energy output could be up to 300 J/g.
