Investigation of a high-efficiency photodissociation laser operating in the f ree-lasing regime

O. B. Danilov, A. P. Zhevlakov, S. A. Tul'skiĭ, I. L. Yachnev
Abstract: An efficiency of ~1.8% is reported for an iodine photodissociation laser pumped with radiation from a xenon lamp operating in the z-pinch regime. The causes of the energy losses are considered.
