Spatial, angular, and spectral changes of radiation emitted from lasers utilizing vapors of complex organic compounds

An analysis is made of whether, in principle, it is possible to utilize the observed rapid displacement of a lasing zone in a vapor under the action of pumping for the purpose of continuous angular and spectral tuning of laser radiation at rates of 10⁹ rad/sec and 10¹⁰ nm/sec and to transmit data by means of such a medium at a velocity higher than the velocity of light in this medium.
