Spatial, angular, and spectral changes of radiation emitted from lasers utilizing vapors of complex organic compounds

Yu. Yu. Stoilov, A. V. Startsev
Abstract: An analysis is made of whether, in principle, it is possible to utilize the observed rapid displacement of a lasing zone in a vapor under the action of pumping for the purpose of continuous angular and spectral tuning of laser radiation at rates of 109 rad/sec and 1010 nm/sec and to transmit data by means of such a medium at a velocity higher than the velocity of light in this medium.
