Full-text PDF (690 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of a self-heated laser utilizing a transition from a resonance to a metastable level in an iron atom at the 452.9 nm wavelength. The feasibility of pulsed lasing due to other transitions was analyzed. The average lasing power was 37 mW and the peak power was 1.2 kW.
