Variations in the intensity and duration of ultrashort pulses emitted by a mode-locked laser

V. S. Dneprovskii, D. G. Koshchug, V. U. Khattatov
Abstract: A method is suggested for investigating variations in the effective duration and intensity of pulses in a train emitted by a mode-locked laser. These characteristics are recorded with the aid of a semiconductor correlator. The duration of pulses in a train varies from several picoseconds to 15–20 psec at the end of the train.
