New method for determination of the duration of picosecond laser pulses based on coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering

Abstract: A new method was developed for the determination of the duration of picosecond laser pulses applicable to a wide spectral range, including the blue and ultraviolet wavelengths. The autocorrelation function of the pulse intensity was determined by the coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) method.
