Spectrum of fast electrons under anomalous absorption conditions

Yu. N. Lazarev, O. S. Shirokovskaya
Abstract: An analysis is made of the problem of the spectra of fast electrons generated as a result of resonant and parametric absorption of laser radiation in the critical density region. The analysis is based on a theory of Dupree and on a numerical solution of the Vlasov equation. The dependences of the temperature of fast electrons on the laser radiation intensity, angle of incidence of laser radiation, and "cold" plasma temperature are obtained.
