Saturation of the active medium in cw chemical lasers

Abstract:
An analysis is made of the dependence of the dynamic saturation intensity on the rate of mixing of reagents in cw chemical lasers. The concept of an effective saturation intensity is introduced for a spatially inhomogeneous medium: this intensity represents the efficiency of the amplification in the laser as a whole. Estimates of these parameters are obtained for HF cw chemical lasers.
