Full-text PDF (572 kB) Citations (1)
Abstract: An investigation was made of the photorefractive effect in Y- and Z-cut lithium niobate waveguides. A holographic grating was readily formed in Y-cut waveguides and there was no change in the effective refractive index in the waveguide layer, whereas the opposite effects were observed for Z-cut waveguides.
