Determination of the temporal uniformity of irradiation of spherical targets in the Del'fin-1 laser facility

Abstract: An analysis was made of the influence of desynchronization of laser beams on the uniformity of target irradiation in multichannel laser systems. Heating beams were synchronized in the Del'fin-1 laser thermonuclear facility to within ± 50 psec, which made it possible to carry out experiments on the heating and compression on high-aspect-ratio (R/Δ R ≈ 200) shell targets.
