Q-switched neodymium-glass lasers with diffraction-limit beam divergence

M. P. Vanyukov, V. M. Mit'kin, V. A. Serebryakov, D. V. Sokolov, A. D. Starikov
Abstract: An investigation was made of a series of Q-switched neodymium-glass lasers with different resonator configurations. The purpose was to find the optical variant of the master oscillator in a high-power high-brightness unit. The principal physical requirements are formulated for a stable Q-switched laser with a beam divergence close to the diffraction limit.
