Experimental investigation of a nonlinear nonreciprocai effect in a ring laser with an active medium subjected to a longitudinal magnetic field

Abstract: A nonlinear (dependent on the output radiation power) non-reciprocal effect associated with the difference between the ellipticity of the opposite waves was investigated in a ring laser (at the wavelength of 1.15 μ) in which the active medium was subjected to a longitudinal magnetic field. The results of the experiments were used to estimate the parameters of resonant trapping of radiation in the active medium.
