Abstract:
The problem of synthesis of optical devices focusing laser radiation incident at an arbitrary angle to form a specified curve with a specified distribution on the curve is tackled theoretically and experimentally. Optical devices focusing radiation incident at large angles are considered. A description is given of reflection-type devices capable of focusing a Gaussian CO2 laser beam incident at an angle of 45° into a circle and an ellipse with a uniform distribution of the intensity along both.
