Self-excitation of resonators with four-wave hypersonic reversing mirrors

Abstract:
Conditions are found for the self-excitation of an adaptive resonator with four-wave hypersonic reversing mirrors. The threshold intensities of the pump waves of such mirrors are identified: when these values are exceeded, optical radiation is generated in a resonator of this kind. The threshold values of the pump wave intensities and the lasing frequencies are shown to depend periodically on the distance between reversing mirrors.
