Use of a point cathode made of LaB6 in a laser cathode-ray tube
V. I. Kozlovsky, A. S. Nasibov, Ya. K. Skasyrsky
Abstract:
The use of a point cathode made of lanthanum hexaboride instead of a tungsten-wire pin cathode made it possible to reduce fourfold the threshold lasing current and to employ lower acceleration voltages (down to 20 kV). Operation for 60 h produced no visible changes in the cathode.
