Calculation of the dynamics of the radiation divergence and losses in nonaxial copper-vapor laser beams

V. V. Buchanov, È. I. Molodykh, N. I. Yurchenko
Abstract: A method is described for numerical calculation of the spatial and temporal characteristics of radiation in a short laser pulse under conditions of time-dependent gain. A study is made of the process of development of the angular distribution of radiation emitted by a copper vapor laser, and the losses of laser energy at the walls of the chamber arising from nonaxial rays are determined.
