Statistical distribution of the failure of injection lasers

Abstract: The statistics of the failure of injection lasers was investigated experimentally in the pulsed mode at 300°K and it was compared with the Weibull distribution. A satisfactory agreement was obtained for a form parameter of 2. The influence of the repetition frequency on the average service life was investigated.
