High-power Y3Al5O12:Nd3+ laser with an explosion-type lamp

Abstract:
A brief description is given of a quasi-CW Y3Al5O12:Nd3+ laser with an explosion-type lamp. The energy of the λ = 1.064 μ radiation produced by this laser is 1 J at 300°K. Lasers with explosion-type lamps have very high output energy/weight ratios.
