Control of laser radiation parameters

Determination of the temporal profiles of ultrashort pulses by a fibre-optic compression technique

N. L. Markaryan, L. Kh. Muradyan

Yerevan State University
Abstract: The results of analytic and numerical investigations of spectral compression are used in an analysis of the possibility of determination of the temporal profiles of laser and nonlaser picosecond and femtosecond pulses. It is shown that the task of obtaining a very high temporal resolution by fibre-optic compression reduces to traditional spectrometric measurements.
