Lasing in an aqueous solution of β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes with aminosubstituted coumarins

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the spectral, luminescence, and lasing characteristics of aqueous solutions of β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes with various aminosubstituted coumarins such as C-120, C-1, and C-102. It was found that synthesis of an inclusion complex of a laser dye with cyclodextrin improved its solubility in water and enhanced its photostability and lasing efficiency.
