METHODOLOGICAL COMMENTS AND DISCUSSION

Interdependence of the refraction and reflection of light and of Cherenkov radiation (methodological comments)

L. A. Rivlin
Abstract: It is shown that the Snell's law and the relationships governing the Cherenkov effect are alternative descriptions of the same phenomenon, and also that the possibility of existence of superluminal phase velocity is closely related to the quantum principle of indistinguishability (identity) of particles.
