Abstract: A brief review is given of the more important papers presented at the Fourth International Conference on Lasers and Their Applications. The Conference topics were as follows: lasers (development of new and improvement of old types); laser thermonuclear fusion; nonlinear optics; laser spectroscopy; optoelectronics; applications of lasers in chemistry, biology, and medicine; fundamental investigations; other applications.
