Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the coherence properties of the radiation in active optical systems utilizing copper vapor amplifiers. The radiation emitted by a UL-102 active element was studied. The radiation of wavelength 0.51 μm (the green component) was found to have a coherence length of 22 cm, while for the 0.57-μm radiation (the yellow component) the coherence length was 44 cm. The coherence radii for the spectral components in the near-field zone were 3 mm for λ1 = 0.51 μm and 5mm for λ2 = 0.57 μm.
