Abstract:
A theory is developed of nonlinear optical surface waves in anisotropic crystals containing impurity atoms. An analysis is made of the case when the optic axis of a crystal makes an arbitrary angle Θ with the interface of the media. A solution in the form of a pulsating soliton of the electric component of a surface wave is derived under less stringent conditions that in an earlier case. Expressions are derived for the nonlinear pulse parameters that depend on the angle Θ.
