Nonlinear optical effects
Spontaneous oscillations and multistability in a polarization reflector
A. A. Golubkov, V. A. Makarov
Abstract:
An investigation of the stability of stationary field states in the presence of planar arbitrarily oriented polarization perturbations is used to demonstrate that a two-pass optical system with a nonlinear isotropic medium and a rotatable mirror can exhibit polarization bistability and multistability, and also processes close to spontaneous oscillations.
